This one is better for younger children as older kids don't still tend to have overalls. Firstly you need to make the straw, you do this by taking the felt sheets and cutting them in half vertically, then cut thin strips almost to the top, now measure the cuff and cut the felt so it matches  up. Loosely stitch the felt in so it hangs out the bottom like straw, repeat this step for the other foot, the cuffs of the shirt sleeve and the colour. You can also make some 'straw' to go around the edge of the hat.
 
This is a really cute costume and will remind you of the Wizard of OZ.
