 2) Find a fun musical track - something known, a nursery rhyme is best, then get the children to act out the words. With slightly older toddlers you can divide them into groups and get each group to act out different characters. For example,  Old MacDonald had a farm - divide the kids into groups, one for each animal and YOU play Old MacDonald. It will keep the song going for longer and it's a great way for children to become involved.
