- soft cheeses such as Brie and Camembert;
- blue-veined cheeses such as Stilton and Danish Blue;
- raw and soft boiled eggs;
- pate and liver sausage;
- unwrapped meat and poultry which is still pink;
- unwrapped foods such as sausage rolls which you are not going to heat through thoroughly;
- ready-to-eat poultry;
- coleslaw and pre-prepared salads.
The chances of catching listeria or salmonella from these foods are probably very small, but there is a slight risk and you can still eat well without having to take any risk at all.
- liver; if you eat a lot of liver, there is a danger that you will overdose on vitamin A which could be harmful to your baby. However, eating liver once or twice during your pregnancy is not going to do any harm
This list with food to avoid during pregnancy it is not to be taken lightly and you should always put you and your pregnancy above everything.
